We are proud to present the Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts (HKAPA), School of Music’s “Invitation to Music” Summer Festival.
The aim for our festivals is to welcome young musicians from around the world to HKAPA’s home in the heart of the exciting city of Hong Kong: to experience the environment in which we operate, and to have a taste of the excellent teaching offered by our eminent faculty as well as that of partner institutions. In this year’s edition, we will have offerings from three of our main departments: Strings, Keyboard and Voice. We are delighted to have some of our top teachers participate including our Heads of each department and guest artists from around the world. I personally will also contribute in coaching sessions on string-ensemble training and performance.
Aside from individual teaching and masterclasses, participants will also have a chance to perform in public concerts – this is the main philosophy of our School: in order to be a successful performer, we need to practice performing! There will also be a variety of lectures to stimulate your intellectual curiosity, to demonstrate how musical research and analysis can be applied to performance.
We hope you can join us as one of the pioneering participants of our ‘’Invitation to Music’’ Summer Festival at the HKAPA!
